Sunand SHARMA élu Président de la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Indo Française

Mr. Sunand Sharma, Country President, Alstom India & South Asia and Chairman, Alstom India Ltd., elected President of the Indo‐French Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the Indo‐French Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (IFCCI) 35th Annual General Meeting and 151st Governing Council held on 26th September 2012 at BNP Paribas, BKC, in Mumbai, Mr. Sunand Sharma was electedfor one year as President of the Chamber, succeeding Mr. Jacques Michel, Chief Executive and Country Manager, BNP Paribas.

He will be supported in this role by 3 elected Vice‐Presidents, Mr. Pankaj Baliga, Vice‐President, Tata Consultancy Services, who was re‐elected for a year, Mr. Patrick Rousseau, CEO, Veolia Water, who was also re‐elected for a year, and Mr. Pierre Behnam, CEO, Pierre Fabre, who was newly elected as Vice‐president of the Chamber, as well as byK all the Governing Council members.

This election took place on the occasion of IFCCI’s 35th AGM, in the presence of IFCCI’s two Chief Guest speakers, H.E. Mr. François Richier, Ambassador of France to India and Mr. Pierre‐Antoine Gailly, President of the Union of French Chambers abroad (UCCIFE) and the Paris Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIP).

As President, Mr. Sunand Sharma will head the leading bilateral business organization having more than 450 active members (both French and Indian companies) from across sectors. In his new role, Mr. Sunand Sharma will ensure the continued success of the organization towards the development and implementation of both innovative and established strategies for successful business outcomes between India and France.
